ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official visit to Saudi Arabia to participate in the eighth annual Future Investment Initiative (FII), scheduled for October 29–30, 2024, in Riyadh.
The visit will see the Prime Minister joined by key cabinet members, as outlined in a pre-event briefing by Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
The Future Investment Initiative serves as a critical platform for nations to highlight economic potential, attract global investments, and engage in high-level discussions shaping future sustainable development.
With this year’s theme, “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” the FII will concentrate on investment opportunities in areas of emerging importance such as artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space exploration, finance, healthcare, and sustainability.
During his visit, PM Shehbaz is anticipated to hold significant talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, as well as other high-ranking Saudi officials.
These discussions are expected to strengthen economic and strategic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with an emphasis on deepening collaboration in sectors like economics, energy, and defense.
The Prime Minister will also engage with global leaders and business innovators attending the conference.
