- Developing national policies for digital transformation.
- Implementing cybersecurity frameworks.

- Promoting IT export growth and cloud adoption strategies.
- Supporting entrepreneurship and ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.

Current Context
The vacancy arises as the tenure of the current Member IT, Syed Junaid Imam, is set to conclude in January 2025. Appointed in 2019, Imam’s term was extended twice—initially for two years in 2021 and later with additional three-month increments. During his tenure, Imam significantly contributed to the nation’s IT sector, spearheading multiple policies and initiatives. However, challenges, particularly in boosting IT exports, remain.
The ministry aims to find a successor capable of building on Imam’s accomplishments and further propelling the country’s IT landscape toward global competitiveness.
Applications are now open, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to take on this prestigious and impactful role.
